Bible Doctrines Series: Introduction June 20, 2006

Posted by mjtilley in Uncategorized.

We are getting set for a refresher on the basic doctrines of Christianity. For the next six months, we will examine the doctrines of the Bible, God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Man, Sin and Salvation.

While basic, these fundamental truths are far from simplistic. Instead, they are the basis of our precious and enduring faith and the crucial foundation upon which we must build. That makes these doctrines vital for everyone to examine and review; no matter if you’re seeking the truth, are a relatively new believer or have been a Christian for many years.

As Paul said in Titus 1:9, “Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and convince the gainsayers.”

We hope, through this study, to revisit and strengthen the foundations of mature Christians so they can appropriately build and grow in their walk with God. We also hope to give unbelievers and new believers information about our faith so they can take the proper first steps in their relationship with God.

If you’re not part of a local church or involved in some sort of systematic Bible study, please join us for this six month study.

Please note that David Cloud’s book “Give Attendance to Doctrine” (see more about David Cloud’s publications at http://www.wayoflife.org) will be used an outline and source for this study as is Emery Bancroft’s “Christian Theology.”
